Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Reid brings decades of business and capture acumen, as well as high-level management and technical experience in the aerospace/defense sector. Having successfully managed over $100M of complex electronics development programs, he has a proven track record of delivering rapid-prototyping solutions and advanced electronic and optical payloads to both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army.
His tested approach bridges deep technical knowledge with operational business acumen and strategic capture. Holding a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his recognized career as a senior program manager, capture lead, and business leader at BAE Systems, Inc., has provided the foundation and toolkits needed to navigate and succeed in these competitive markets.
As a certified Project Management Professional® (PMP), he can employ rigorous or tailored program management principles, ensuring on-schedule and on-budget delivery through integrated master schedules, earned value techniques, and comprehensive risk and opportunity management processes.
With deep roots in Hawaii, and having returned as part of the Kama’aina Come Home initiative, Reid is committed to fortifying the state’s economic position in the aerospace/defense sector, strategically shaping the current and future workforce, and establishing a thriving ecosystem that retains local talent.
